Bohemian Art & Gin Odyssey in the Northern Rivers

Join us for a captivating exploration of Bohemian-style villages, a world-class art gallery, a riverside pub, and an award-winning Gin Distillery in the enchanting Northern Rivers region. Our adventure begins in the picturesque Brunswick Heads, affectionately known as "Bruns" to the locals. Here, we kickstart our day with a coffee and meander through the unique smattering of stores in this vibrant riverside village—a small haven that packs a powerful punch. Next, we venture to neighbouring Mullimbimby, or "Mullum," just a short drive away but a world apart. This colourful spot beckons with its Bohemian vibes, and it's easy to see why. Fridays bring an unmissable Farmers Market, showcasing the bountiful local produce grown in our tropical surroundings. Our journey continues along winding Hinterland back roads, leading us to Burringbar, where a treasure trove of antique farm furniture and implements awaits, collected from neighbouring farms. Our next destination is the world-renowned Tweed Regional Gallery, a treasure trove of artistic wonders, including the Margaret Olley Art Centre. Here, we'll immerse ourselves in inspiring talent and marvel at Margaret's recreated home, brimming with eclectic items and her masterpieces. A well-deserved lunch break awaits at a typical retro Pub by the riverside. Picture yourself on the balcony, savouring a meal while catching the breeze—an experience favoured by the locals. A stone's throw away lies Husk Gin Distillery, a single estate distillery pioneering Australia's only virgin cane rum, from paddock to bottle, on the family farm in Tumbulgum. Husk is renowned for its unique Ink Gin. Take the time to stock up on some exceptional Gin or unwind in the beautiful gardens before we make our way back to Byron Bay.
