Our journey unfolds along the meandering roads of Byron’s famous Hinterland, where we begin with a visit to the captivating Zentveld's Coffee farm and roastery. Here, the air is alive with the tantalising aroma of freshly brewed coffee, and we partake in the pleasures of their exquisite brew. This is no ordinary coffee farm; it's a labour of love, a family-run endeavour committed to sustainable practices in cultivating the finest Arabica beans. What makes it truly exceptional is the harmony between the coffee trees and the native rainforest, a testament to their dedication to preserving the natural world. Our next destination is the charming village of Bangalow, just a short drive away. This quaint haven is a sanctuary for unique stores, where you'll discover everything from clothing to art to bespoke furniture and beyond. There's a little something to delight every soul in this vibrant community. The main street exudes an old-world charm, adorned with federation-style architecture that seamlessly blends with chic modern shops, creating a tapestry of past and present. As we venture further north, we find ourselves in the picturesque seaside village known affectionately to the locals as "Bruns”. Brunswick Heads is home to Trouble San, our lunch destination and acclaimed for its Japanese-inspired menu that has garnered rave reviews. But Bruns has more to offer than simply culinary pleasures; it boasts a collection of quirky shops that beckon exploration. A leisurely stroll along the riverbank provides a serene opportunity to witness the meeting of river and ocean before we bid farewell to this coastal gem and return to the heart of Byron Bay.
